Is space still short on the worktable?

Size is not a document — also for computing. Mini PC models are getting smaller and smaller, but that doesn’t mean they’re delivering less performance.
For those who still doubt that just take a look at the mighty Mac Studio, just released by Apple, which is available in a compact box less than 20 centimeters wide.
However, to buy a good mini desktop, consider the factors below to find the model that best fits your budget and usage needs.
Peripherals
Generally, mini desktops are launched without any peripherals. This means that the consumer must purchase the monitor, keyboard, and mouse separately. So, when making the purchase, don’t forget to put these items in your budget.
Memory slots
If you’re looking to buy a little more affordable hardware, make sure it has slots available for a potential upgrade in the future. Generally, mini-PCs use notebook memory sticks, not traditional desktop ones.
Disk Space
Nowadays, it has become common to store files in the cloud, leaving the PC disk reserved only for installing the operating system and some programs. In these cases, a 120 GB disk is more than enough. However, if you intend to store image and video files, it is worth investing a little more in models with greater storage capacities. The tip here is to always buy SSD disks to ensure better performance.
Operational system
Check if the device has an operating system already installed. You’ll find devices with a blank disk, as well as those that come with Windows, Linux, or even Mac (in the case of Apple’s Mac Mini).
Don’t expect gaming performance
As much as it is possible to run simpler games, a mini desktop will not deliver a good experience in newer games, which have more advanced graphics settings. So, if you are an avid gamer, avoid mini-PCs as they will not be worth the investment.
With these considerations in mind, here are three examples of mini desktops available to buy on Amazon.
E3 Nano computer
For those looking for a basic PC for simple tasks, the mini PC comes with an Intel Dual Core processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 120GB SSD. The product has USB, HDMI, VGA inputs, network cable, as well as audio and PS/2 connectors for keyboards and mice.
Fanless Mini PC
Here, the mini-PC can easily be mistaken for a router, but it packs powerful hardware, with an Intel Core I7 processor and memory options starting at 8GB. It uses a fanless, passive cooling system that maximizes heat dissipation without making noise. The product comes with HDMI, USB 3.0 (including front ports), audio/microphone ports, as well as antennas for better Wi-Fi reception.
